Topowa Youth Mentoring Uganda was born in 2017 out of a deep desire to see young people rise above the noise and take charge of their futures. What started as a small team passionate about guiding youth through life’s twists and turns has grown into a movement that empowers, mentors, and walks the journey with Uganda’s next generation of changemakers.

"From our earliest days, we believed that consistent mentorship could be the game-changer for teens facing tough choices and real-life challenges. Over the years, we've expanded our reach through school tours, drama, live advocacy concerts, Film and Drama series, Music , art, sports ,school clubs, life skills training, creative experiences, and safe spaces that speak directly to what young people need today."

We’ve seen boys grow into mindful, respectful leaders. We’ve watched girls find their voices and stand tall. We've journeyed with teens through heartbreak, breakthrough, peer pressure, and purpose. And we’re just getting started.

As we look ahead, we remain committed to rewriting the narrative for youth in Uganda—one conversation, one connection, and one empowered teen at a time.

TYMU  works towards providing empowerment for young people to make healthy life choices especially around Alcohol and substance abuse, Mental Health related issues and providing Mentorship so that they can work towards achieving their dreams.

 

The work of Topowa Youth Mentoring Uganda is built on the principles of Youth being problem solvers and change makers, Our Overall goal as Topowa Youth Mentoring Uganda is to make sure that we develop  programs that promote Health, Well Being & wellness, Creative thinking and can be able to support the youth to fulfill their Dreams.

We exist to walk alongside youth—not just as mentors, but as consistent voices of guidance, hope, and empowerment. We help young people rewrite their stories, find purpose, and grow into leaders who can break cycles and build brighter futures.
