
Topowa Youth Mentoring Uganda is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Partnerships and Grants Officer to join our team. This position is crucial in advancing our mission to empower youth through mentorship and support programs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for youth development, strong communication skills, and a proven track record in fundraising and partnership development.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategies to identify and secure funding opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and corporate partners.
Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential partners to enhance collaboration and support for Topowa's initiatives.
Prepare and submit grant proposals, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with donor requirements.
Monitor and report on grant progress, outcomes, and financial accountability in collaboration with program teams.
Conduct research to identify new funding sources and partnership opportunities that align with our mission.
Assist in the development of promotional materials and presentations to communicate Topowa’s impact and vision effectively.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Social Work & Community Development, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in grant writing, fundraising, or partnership development.
Proven track record of securing funding from institutional donors or corporate sponsors.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent networking and negotiation abilities.
Passion for youth empowerment and mentorship
Strong understanding of the grant application process and experience in writing successful proposals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with grant management software.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
