At Topowa Youth Mentoring Uganda, we’re passionate about helping young people grow into confident, responsible, and purpose-driven individuals. Through our Topowa Youth Mentorship Clubs (TYMC), we’re creating safe, empowering spaces in schools where students can learn, lead, and make better life choices.
Each club is officially recognized by the school leadership and guided by a dedicated Club Patron, with support from teachers, alumni, and professional mentors. Students take the lead through elected executive committees Presidents, Vice Presidents, Secretaries, and Publicity Officers who are trained by Topowa in leadership and accountability before launching their clubs.
So far, 12 mentorship clubs have been established across Uganda’s Central Region, including Seeta High School, Kitende SS, Kasangati High, Kawempe SS, and others. Each month, students participate in lively mentorship sessions focused on key life skills such as self-awareness, critical thinking, communication, goal setting, and mental health awareness.

Beyond the sessions, club members take action by leading school-based projects that address real-life issues like drug abuse, peer pressure, and mental health putting their learning into practice and making a positive impact on their school communities.

Through regular monitoring and support from Topowa mentors and peer educators, these clubs continue to grow stronger each term. Together, we’re shaping a new generation of young leaders confident, resilient, and ready to uplift others.
At Topowa, we’re more than mentors we’re friends of the youth, champions of progress, and partners in transformation.
